NEW YORK – September 27, 2018 – NFP, a leading insurance broker and consultant that provides employee benefits, property & casualty, retirement and individual private client solutions, is pleased to announce that six advisors representing seven offices have been named to the 2018 edition of the Financial Times 401 Top Retirement Advisers. The list recognizes top financial advisors who specialize in serving defined contribution (DC) retirement plans, such as 401(k) and 403(b) plans, across the US.
Thomas Bastin of Weston, Florida; Mark Forbes of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Allison Kaylor-Flink of Austin, Texas; Bradley Larsen of Stuart, Florida; Kimberly Pruitt of Fort Worth, Texas; and Randy Riggins and Gary Shuford of Charlotte, North Carolina were named to the list.
"We are thrilled that six of our advisors were named to this prestigious list," said Nick Della Vedova, president of NFP's Retirement division. "We believe these rankings reflect our nationwide commitment to the retirement space and our years of experience in anticipating trends and clients' needs."
Financial advisors who applied for consideration were graded on six key criteria: DC assets under management, DC plan growth rate, specialization in DC plans, years of experience, advanced industry credentials and compliance record.
The final FT 401 list represents an impressive cohort of elite advisers: the "average" adviser in this year's FT 401 has 20 years of experience advising DC plans and advises $1.26 billion in DC plan assets. FT 401 advisers hail from 38 states and Washington, D.C., and DC plans on average account for 81% of their practices' total assets.
