The KNW Group Rebrands to NFP
NFP continues to grow and expand in the Central region
NEW YORK – October 29, 2018 – NFP, a leading insurance broker and consultant that provides employee benefits, property and casualty, retirement and individual private client solutions, today announced that The KNW Group (KNW) will rebrand itself NFP, effective Feb. 1, 2019.
The rebrand is a part of NFP's broader strategy to unite its Minnesota offices and expand its presence in the Central region. KNW, currently based in Minnetonka, Minnesota, was acquired by NFP in 2005. Under the leadership of CEO Marty Nanne and Director Jay Cavanagh, KNW has been offering employee benefits, retirement, wealth management and insurance solutions for more than 15 years. Mike Schneider, regional managing director of NFP, will oversee the greater Minneapolis market, to achieve one consolidated powerhouse with a greater depth of resources that boosts the business.
"We are thrilled that KNW is embracing the NFP brand, unifying our Central region," said Schneider. "The KNW family is composed of 47 team members and brings unparalleled expertise in insurance, benefits and wealth management, and a culture that mirrors our 'PeopleFirst' foundation. The rebrand reflects our commitment to strengthening NFP locally and nationally, to support existing business while extending our impact to clients and prospects."
KNW will team up with the group formerly known as Financial Concepts (FCI), which was acquired by NFP in 2000 and rebranded in 2015. Managing Directors Tom Miller, Tony Cardinal and Jim Sarych, and their team of 43, specialize in health, retirement and wealth management solutions. The two will move into a shared location in early 2019.
The combined community focus of Nanne's and Miller's teams underscore NFP's dedication to giving back to the regions the firms serve. To date, Nanne and the KNW team have donated nearly $1 million to charity, and their employees have spent thousands of hours volunteering with local organizations, including The KNW Foundation, which focuses on partnering with local organizations to raise money for children in need. Miller and the former FCI team host a number of volunteer and charitable activities throughout the year, including blood drives, Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, an Alzheimer's Walk, and Second Harvest Food Shelf.
"We couldn't be more excited," said Nanne. "The rebrand connects us to the larger NFP network, bolstering our resources, technology and bench strength to benefit our clients. Our partnership with NFP will enrich our connection with the community the company serves by giving back through local and national charitable initiatives."
"Our shared values and location will make the integration seamless," said Miller. "As our team doubles in size, we are excited about the collaborative ideas that will produce innovative solutions for our diverse and growing base of clients."
